Angel Food Ministry

As a church our desire is to know God and be conformed into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that God has placed us specifically in this community to do just as Jesus did – to minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of those around us. Being a local host site for Angel Food Ministries is not a means of financial gain for us. Instead it is one of the many ways we believe that God is directing us to serve Him and show His love and grace towards all people within our community.

From the physical side, Angel Food provides one of the most common and essential needs, food, at an exceptional value for the consumer. The convenience of paying with food stamps also helps to make it an attractive option for those who may be financially distressed.

From the spiritual side, Angel Food provides opportunity to interact with our community, opening doors to minister to the real need of the individual – to know Jesus.

The heart behind the Angel Food ministry at Calvary Chapel Greer is intentionally creating opportunities to establish personal relationships with our neighbors in order to earn the right to minister to them on a personal level and share the good news of Jesus Christ. Many in our community have heard the words of the Gospel many times but few have actually experience the power of the Gospel lived out through love expressed both materially and spiritually one to another.
